Eat Green- Eat Clean

Go Green and Go Clean My Mother always said shop on the outside of the grocery store and you know what “ Mother does know best”.
 So often I watch as carts get laden with boxed foods, processed food and foods that the list of ingredients are so long I can’t even pronounce them. Why is our society so sick? It is no doubt the result of what we are, or are not, putting into our bodies.
 The body is very smart. Actually immensely intelligent in ways beyond our comprehension. This is what is called Innate Intelligence. The body know how to make brand new skin cells, recreate new liver cells, grow hair, nails, heal a cut, grow a baby. This healing occurs at the rate of about 3-5 million cells per minute- every minute you are alive. That is truly amazing. We may not know what is right for the body, but the body knows in exact qualities and quantities, every second of the day. It knows what process to turn off, to turn off, to run. There are  1000’s of biochemical processes going on in the body at one time. Interconnected and dependent on one an other. The body grows by drawing on the cells of today for tomorrow’s growth. If we replace today’s cells (resulting in cells of tomorrow) with cells of the same quality  we will at minimum maintain our health- status quo. If we replace with cells sickerthan our current ones- tomorrow’s health is poorer. If we replace with cells healthier than our current ones- tomorrow’s health has the chance to be better than today’s.
 What determines how our cells grow? One main criteria is our intake ( or lack their of ) of food and nutrition. 

 


Eating green and clean are awesome ways to give your body a chance at better health.


  Simple Ways To Eat Your Fruits & Veggies
1.  Smoothie…blend the green with the purple and no one will know a thing.
2.  Freeze left over smoothies for smoothie pops…spinach or kale as a treat YUM!
3.  Don’t heat up the house for treats make No bake treats.
4.  Add veggie puree to your  pasta sauce or rice dishes.
5.  Blended soups – creamy and satisfying. 

 

 

Here’s is a great green smoothie recipe Makes 32 oz | Serves 2Ingredients2 cups spinach, fresh (tightly packed)

2 cups water1 cup mango1 cup pineapple2 bananas  DirectionsTightly pack your leafy greens into a measuring cup and toss into blender. Add water and blend together until all leafy chunks are gone. Next add in mango, pineapple and bananas and blend again. Tips
1. Use at least one frozen fruit to chill your smoothie.2. If you aren’t a big fan of bananas, feel free to substitute with another fruit, like extra mangos.  I have taken products from AIM myself for 12 years. The difference in my energy, stamina, productivity, digestion, focus, to just name a few are amazing. No need for a blender just mix and drink!.
